How long does a training session last?
Training sessions usually last 45-60 minutes and are conducted in your home and surrounding neighborhood. Sessions are scheduled once a week. The number of sessions needed to achieve the desired training level will vary from dog to dog and person to person but generally it takes 4-6 sessions for Basic and Advanced Obedience.
How much does training cost?
Each training session is priced based off of training services needed, difficulty of case, distance and number of dogs. For more information on pricing please refer to our Pricing page.
What payment methods are accepted?
Cash, Cash app ($sitstayobey), Venmo (@sitstayobey), Credit/debit cards (credit and debit cards incur a 5% transaction fee).
Do you train dogs for personal protection?
No, we do not train dogs to attack. Our philosophy is that dogs are naturally protective and an “attack/defense dog” is like a loaded gun, in inexperienced hands it can be disastrous.
Do you offer training classes?
At this time classes are not offered. Dogs learn best with little to no distractions especially with basic obedience.
Do you come to me?
Yes! We come to you and train you and your dog in the comfort of your home and surrounding areas like dog parks, trails and neighborhoods.
What breeds do you train?
ALL!! There is no breed that we do not train (yep, even rescued Pits).
How old does my dog have to be to begin training?
We believe that a puppy as young as 8 weeks can begin to learn “puppy manners” like no jumping and potty training, in addition to most commands.
My dog is over 7 years old, can he still be trained/retrained?
Absolutely! Old dogs really can learn new tricks, young or old, we train them all.
